By India Today Web Desk: Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has heaped praise on forward Jadon Sancho, calling him a magnificent football player. Sancho scored the equalizer as Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw against Leeds United in the Premier League.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Ten Hag said he is very happy with Sancho’s performance, adding that he is a magnificent football player.

“I’m very happy. He’s on the way back. We know he is a magnificent football player. He can definitely for our team be a big impact. Tonight he had, but we know he can be a consistent impact. He has to work very hard, we all do, and in this moment he is in a good mood,” said Ten Hag.

The former Ajax manager said he really enjoys watching Sancho when he is playing with such confidence and belief like he did against Leeds United.

“I really enjoy seeing him playing the way he did, with so much confidence, so much belief, really direct. It was great to see him play in this attack. As you see, he’s a brilliant footballer and if he invests and he is in the right levels then he can perform outstandingly,” Ten Hag added.

The Dutchman said this performance will strengthen and motivate him, adding that his development is in his own hands.

“I think it will strengthen him, motivate him to even give more, then you’ll get more. It’s a brilliant footballer, and that second goal I really enjoyed it, and especially for him. I think it’s in his own hands. So if he wants, he can do [it] and this team is great to play in and will give you joy,” said Ten Hag.

Marcus Rashford and Sancho scored as the Red Devils played out a 2-2 draw against Leeds United in the Premier League. They are placed third in the league table with 43 points from their opening 22 games.
